Miacup
News: I now sell menstrual cups at my online store:
The Miacup
Please see the new video I made for this brand:
First off, I would like to say a special thank you to Rosalia with the Miacup company for sending me these beautiful samples! I cannot express how much I appreciate it, and now I will be able to update my sizing charts to include the large Miacup’s measurements.
As you can see in the video, I have both the old model, and the new model of this brand. Both are classy and wonderful. But I do like the following changes they have made with the new model:
– Slightly firmer material that is easier to pop open
– Smaller, more easy-access box
– FDA-approved color so U.S. sellers can carry this brand
Its still just a lovely a brand as it ever was in my opinion. A couple of people have commented that they liked the more pinkish look of the old model, but if the new color is FDA approved, then I am all for it! The fact that the small and large are not so drastically different, really makes it easier if someone feels they need the large for a heavier flow, rather than the small, even if they have never had a baby. Some women do go against the size recommendations to suit their own personal needs.
It is still comfortable, and holds plenty of fluid so its good for average to heavy flows. Still one of my absolute favorites as far as product design and attractive packaging are concerned. The stiffer material really makes a HUGE difference when it comes to popping open, but its only a slight difference, meaning the people who loved the softness of the old model shouldn’t be bothered by the change. Its still softer than a lot of other brands.
I’ve been told that it is possible for an opaque cup to stain, but in my experience, it takes a lot longer. Also, a bit of hard scrubbing with a rag takes most of it off even with a clear cup, so it should definitely help with an opaque cup.

Hi,
What would you rate the new small Miacup on your squishness scale? I currently have the small Fleurcup and can’t really feel it so that stiffness doesn’t bother me.
Thanks!

Dear Melisa
Yours is a commendable initiative, gathering so much information just to keep the woman informed and educated about the various cups and all aspects related to that. I’m a user of the miacup as well as a distributer of the cup. I noticed that all cups have the litle but holes. so far you only touched on the size but not realy the purpose. Kindly tell me why all the cups have the litle holes pls?.

Hi Liz,
Menstrual cups have the tiny holes to let a little bit of air pass through to help them expand open after they have been inserted. The holes are also to help break the suction during removal.
🙂

How does the stiffness of the small Miacup compare to the small Lunette?
